To reach Tuguegarao, you have to sit on a bus for half of the day or take a flight bound to the city for an hour. Since I was lucky enough to book a flight for a cheap fare, I took the plane to reach the city. I went straight to the tourism area (for some free brochures :D ) and asked for the direction to the city proper. I was told to take a tricycle for 50.00 (special trip). I checked in at the Aiport Inn first and then I went outside to explore the town. Well, I just had an early dinner in Urban Kitchen Restaurant and had a good 30-minute walk in the city proper.

The following day, I had Pansit Batil Patung for breakfast. A regular pansit costs 50.00, and a super special one (with egg, embutido, chicharon and liver) costs 70.00.

After breakfast, Callao Cave then followed. From the city proper, we took a tricycle to another tricycle terminal that will bring us to the cave, which is located in the municipality of Peñablanca, Roundtrip tricycle rental costs 560.00. If you are good in haggling, you can have it for 500. The driver asked us if we want to go straight to the cave (for 700.00) or take a boat and cross the deep Pinacanauan River. To experience crossing the river, we chose the latter. We paid another 20.00 for the boat ride (back and forth). It just took 3 minutes to reach the other side of the river which will lead us to the cave.
After crossing the river, stairway with 184 steps should be taken.
Callao Cave has 7 chambers with different rock formations that would amaze you.
